Juneathon ’15, day 8

June 9, 2015

Feeling quite good for a Monday morning, I started off with 15 minutes of yoga stretches, and then bicycled to the office.  At the end of the work day I bicycled back home, for a 10-mile total round trip.  It was sunny and felt hot and summery, even though it is technically still Spring for another 10+ days.  I met more bikers than normal on the path this morning, which made it an even more pleasant ride.

Yesterday, we had a bicyclist struck and killed in our state by a pickup, and a beloved restaurant owner also tragically taken from our community.  On things that aren’t right according to our mortal standards.

  1. It’s scary when people are killed doing things we do – brings it very close to home.

    • Absolutely. There is a shared connection with a level of grief and anger, even if we’ve never met. Thanks for your thoughts.
