I love to sew.  I like making garments interior furnishings and decor, and quilting.  I’m privileged to be a member of a large, local quilt guild that holds a quilt show every other year, to showcase the quilts made by its members.  This year as always, there were nearly a thousand quilts on display.  It was an unusual year in that I didn’t identify any revolutionary new techniques or designs that I was compelled to run home and try out myself.  But that didn’t prevent the show from being an incredible visual experience.  The quilt designs and workmanship were as always, stunning.

Dynamic colors and quilting pattern.  Click to enlarge the image, and you will see that the color blocks are made with selvedge label strips.

I love cross stitch roses and ribbons.

Just lovely.

Beautiful feathers.

Motion with straight edges and color. Best of Class. Best of Show.

1930s colors and designs are one of my sentimental favorites.

Just incredible.
